About BioMaxx - BioMaxx Systems Inc. is a biotechnology company that focuses on the development of innovative technology solutions to address the world's dependence on fossil fuels. The company creates solutions to produce clean fuels such as Ethanol - to promote clean, efficient alternatives that reduce harmful carbon dioxide emissions and greenhouse gases. BioMaxx Systems Inc., incorporated in 2001, provides professional consulting services and technical expertise in the following areas;
  • The development of environmental biotechnology processes for commercial use and exploitation.
  • Biomaxx Systems can prepare detailed feasibility studies and cost analysis of renewable energy technologies such as solar energy utilizing photovoltaic solar panels and wind energy utilizing wind turbines – to produce electricity.
  • Biomaxx Systems and its consultants have extensive knowledge in the area of bio-fuel production.    Ethanol and BioDiesel are the most common biofuels produced.
    • Ethanol is currently the most popular alternative liquid transportation fuel made from renewable resources such as agricultural wastes, corn, grain, grasses, sugar cane, straw, wood and any cellulosic materials.  Ethanol is a clean burning fuel and can be blended with gasoline and integrates into existing fuel delivery systems.  Most gasoline powered vehicles can run on E10 (10% ethanol and 90% gasoline) and new Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFV’s)will run on E85 (85% ethanol and 15% gasoline).
    • Methanol, which is currently produced from natural gas, can also be produced from biomass.  Methanol can be used in the production of bio-diesel and also represents an alternative liquid fuel or a raw material for the chemical synthesis of a variety of products.
    • BioDiesel is a diesel fuel derived from biological sources such as straight vegetable oil or waste vegetable oil (Restaurant waste oils). Biodiesel is biodegradable and can be distributed using existing infrastructure and has significantly fewer emissions than petroleum-based diesel when burned.
    • Hydrogen – Hydrogen burns directly to water and does not produce CO2 during combustion.  Of specific interest to BiMaxx is the production of hydrogen by selected microorganisms in which research has been conducted by Biomaxx Systems Scientific Advisor.
  • BioMass to Energy – Biomaxx Systems can assist in the development of systems that are capable of producing both heating and electricity from renewable biomass sources.
  • Industrial and municipal wastewater management and treatment processes and industrial and agricultural waste management.
  • Biosurfactants production and application in soil bioremediation and biodegradation of toxic pollutants.  Biomaxx Systems’ Scientific Advisor has extensive expertise in the production  of biosurfactants, which are low toxicity biodegradable microbial active surface agents that can be produced from inexpensive raw materials. They have many applications in paint and coatings, textiles, agriculture, construction, food and beverage and cosmetics but most notably they can be used to RAPIDLY clean contaminated soil (soil bioremediation) and degrade industrial toxic pollutants. Biosurfactants can accelerate the process and enhance biodegradation of soil, cleaning the soil in months not years.
  • Petroleum biotechnology and microbial enhanced oil recovery
  • Novel processes for the production of specialized enzymes, proteins, polymers, food grade acids, bio-degradable plastics and others.
